Do stupid things with them and ruin it for the rest. Saddly that happens with a lot of things, including items such as airsoft and paintball.

YAOI paddles from my understanding were not a problem but are steadily becoming one. You may just save other people a lot of trouble and pain. It's like hitting someone with a baseball bat. anything that can cause major bodily harm is considered a weapon, I do not know about you, but a thick piece of wood is a weapon. You should not let it go when it happens at the convention. Would you let it go if it happened in the street? Probably not. Hitting someone with one of those as hard as you can is like me walking up to you in the street and sending a baseball bat at your rear end as hard as I can. If you are ever assaulted on purpose by someone with a YAOI paddle it is best to go off and get security. Now, before I get started on the actual thing, it's time for another tip from me. I was hoping that both victims would go to security about it but they probably did not.

Now, I have only been to one convention so far, but from experience and reading I have seen that these weapons are used more as weapons to cause mischief than for any real purpose.Īt Otakon this year I can sadly say I witnessed two YAOI paddle assaults. Now I have decided to make a thread based on them and these complaints and concerns, so that in all honesty, this topic can be discussed further without dragging other topics out of line. I've seen in multiple posts of people complaining about YAOI paddles.
